Hi, I’m HezhenWang, and I’m the artist for our WaddleMart team. In this project, I mainly work on 3D character modeling, rigging, animation, and scene building using assets we’ve collected.

Our game has a silly and fun vibe, so I want the visuals and animations to support that feeling. The two penguin characters are supposed to be cute but also super strong and angry sometimes, so my animations will mix funny, exaggerated movements with sudden bursts of power—like slapping customers really far or fighting in the middle of the road when they get mad. I think these contrasts will make the game feel both relaxing and hilarious.

For the environment, I use existing assets to build a street with two small stores facing each other. I try to place things in a way that feels a bit chaotic and playful, so players feel like they’re in a weird, messy neighborhood. I also try to think about how the scene can support gameplay—like how the layout makes it fun to push carts, chase customers, or run into traffic.

Besides art, I’m also giving ideas for gameplay moments and funny interactions. I want the game to feel full of surprises, and I hope my work helps bring out that fun, crazy energy we’re going for.
