Devlog - Aaron Holladay


My name is Aaron Holladay, and I am part of the newly founded Strength Team, and our goal is to create a game that makes the player feel powerful! We will also need to incorporate a split screen for a two-player set up and dialog in game that can be interactive.

As an artist, I will be dealing primarily with assets and 3D models. However, I can see situations that could possibly call me to help with blueprinting the assets I design or use, if the need arises. I would like to learn more about blueprinting if I can from this next project. My desire is that my work on assets, creating models, or blueprints will aid the team in creating a fun and chaotic game that any player would enjoy.

The game our team will be creating is called Waddlemart. We want to put the power back into the hands of a supermarket worker. The associate is a penguin with a snarky attitude and if the customers bully him enough the penguin will be able to throw things at the customer or even slap them or destroy the supermarket itself. The goal of the game would be to compete against other working penguins by helping or scaring the customers away. The penguin character for both players will have a slap function and a pickup function that can be used against the customer or other player. This will give the player the option to be as helpful as they want or wreak havoc throughout the story creating chaos.
